Paint
Pieces are priced according to the color requested and time required to complete. Additional patterning such as primitive markings, dappling, roaning, paint patterns, appaloosa, etc are quoted dependent on each individual piece. Prep starts at $35 for traditional scale.
Colors will be replicated as accurately as possible, please understand an exact match is not guaranteed.

Customizing
Below are the general costs for alterations. On average a moderate traditional scale custom is $350-450 including paint. Every model is different and can be more or less - I am always happy to provide a quote!
Custom quotes are calculated according to the work requested, model used, and time required to complete. Prices below are available as a general idea of costs, please email me for a quote. Unfinished, unpainted pieces will not be released from the studio.
A body can be supplied by the client, purchased and shipped direct, or funded for me to purchase. Prep work is included in your calculated quote for customization and paint.

FAQs
How does payment work?
A non-refundable 50% deposit is required on all orders. Commissions are given an estimated completion time (generally 1 day to 3 weeks). Payment is due within 7 days of completion. Plan on submitting your entire balance within 7 days of completion unless arrangements have been made prior to start of work. All clients who fail to adhere to this policy are subject to forfeiture of their deposit and the immediate sale of the commission.
Time Payments
Payments are available in 30 and 60 day installments. 60 day payments are available for pieces that total $500 or more. Longer payment timetables are available in special cases.
A 7 day leeway is allowable for unforeseen circumstances. If you fail to adhere to your schedule all prior payments are forfeit and the model will be listed for sale immediately.
Time payments must be arranged PRIOR to your order’s start.
How long is your turn-around time?
All commissions receive an estimated completion time that is determined according to the amount of work and color that has been requested. Please allow some leeway for unforeseen circumstances, however, the estimated completion time will be held to as stringently as possible. For reference, average turnaround is between 1-3 weeks for customs but 1-3 days for paintwork only.
And artistic freedom?
Please allow some room for artistic freedom in your commission. Clients that demand work down to every minute detail strangles an artist's ability to create. I love creating pieces, but if not allowed a little breathing room it is no longer fun!
But what about my portrait?!
Portraits will be done as exact as I am capable - a little artistic freedom in pose or expression is appreciated!
Will you collaborate with X artist?
I will no longer work on models previously repositioned or altered by another artist. Pieces with a new mane and tail only will be taken on at my discretion. Unpainted custom work will not be released from the studio.
Can you reproduce this exact model?
Please do not ask for reproductions of my own or another artist's work - this is unfair to the original artist, the owner of said horse, and myself. I will not duplicate work that myself or another artist has done. A variation is fine, but please do not ask me to recreate the exact color/pattern/position.
Are gift certificates available?
Yes! Gift Certificates are available and valid for 12 months after issuance.
What about shipping?
All traditional scale models are shipped domestically via UPS Ground or USPS, whichever is most cost effective. Occasionally, FedEx will be used. International packages are shipped via Priority Mail International ONLY.
A $5 double box/double wall/heavy duty box fee applies to most shipments
Packages are shipped within 5 business days of receipt of payment
Insurance is optional but advised. Uninsured models are the responsibility of the commissioner
Will you repair your previous work?
In general, normal wear and tear repairs and/or touchups of paint are free of charge - just provide return postage. Damage due to proxy show shipping, travel, improper storage, age, or packing will be repaired at a fee plus postage.
I DO NOT allow repainting or alterations of one of a kind customs from my studio. If you have a piece that has been catastrophically damaged and the paint or work cannot be salvaged, please contact me.
